I'm using the AMD quarters and deck filler, Dynacorn for the outer wheel houses, floor & braces, trunk floor. They are superior to anything else. OPG isn't even in the equation . "Around" .040", remember the panel may not be the exact thickness everywhere after stamping, check several spots. Just used some AMD stuff and it was all in the .040" or . There is more to body panels and stamping them then just gauge thickness. I ended up ordering and installing an AMD door skin and I must say the fit is much, much better, not to mention the metal is noticeably thicker. I am not sure how Goodmark's . AMD, Legion, Goodmark, CHL all have larger edge radii. AMD quarters are nice but still have issues. If you know what a GM panel looks like, AMD and other repros require mods . I have been following a few posts I have seen about the AMD sheetmetal for the 1st gen camaros and I am really interested in finding out how they compared to the Goodmark . AMD's sheetmetal is built to OEM thickness or thicker with all-new tooling to produce crisp lines. They are so good, in fact, that all the company's panels are licensed by GM. Next month's.
The repop metal tends to be thinner, which can make it harder to weld. There is trend starting, to produce stuff at the correct gauge, I think AMD is leading the charge on that. . Panel thickness difference is big, Goodmark measured .039" and AMD is .047". I think the oem panels measure somewhere in the middle. The stamping in the doorjamb area is better on the goodmark but the overall quality-straightness goes to AMD.
